With his 5.5 million social media followers, his undeniable basketball talents and his tendency to go viral for just about anything, Mikey Williams was always in a good position to benefit from new NIL laws.

But how much is the North Carolina prep star’s brand really worth?

On3.com, a college sports and recruiting coverage website, tackled that question earlier this month when it released its inaugural NIL 100 rankings. It’s a new index that “looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes” in the name, image and likeness era, per the site.

And Williams, On3 concluded, is a seven-figure earner.

Working off Williams’ social media presence on Instagram, Twitter and TikTok and his athletic achievements to date, On3 set the 17-year-old’s current NIL valuation at a whopping $2.6 million.

Mikey Williams has also rapidly cashed in on NIL deals since the NCAA’s new policy went into effect last summer. Last year, he became the first high school athlete to sign a deal with a major sports marketing agency (New York City-based Excel Sports Management) and a global footwear brand (PUMA).

And that’s just off the court. On it, Mikey Williams has emerged as a top 2023 recruiting target. A 6-foot-2 combo guard whose strength and explosiveness have earned him Donovan Mitchell comparisons, he ranks as a five-star recruit and the No. 13 junior prospect in the country, per the 247Sports composite.
