The range of canvas Air Force 1 variants, reviving the model's '90s style, was a clear indication of this, but the return to patent leather styles from the 2000s has only grown stronger in recent months. It's once again a focus for the latest edition of the shoe: a black and armor blue version of the Nike Air Force 1 Low.

While glossy material always makes a shoe stand out, the Air Force 1 Low "Armory Blue" handles everything else in a relatively standard way. An ice-blue sole and tongue tag break up an otherwise monochromatic palette, executed with subtle patent leather panels on the toe and heel, white laces, and branding details.
